I’m starting my last quarter at UCLA tomorrow and I’m taking a class called Songwriters on Songwriting. It’s essentially Inside the Actor’s Studio, but with musicians. The guest for this week is Jeff Barry, who wrote, among others, this precious gem. He and his ex-wife, Ellie Greenwich, wrote “Da Do Run Run” and “Be My Baby” with Phil Spector, and he has written the third highest number one chart hits, second to Lionel Richie and Carole King. Soooo, no big deal at all.
